The chaparral pines gated golf community is located just to the East of Payson,
About half of the communities 555 acres are dedicated to open space, lakes, the golf course, nature preserves and trails. The community has 317 home sites, some developed as shown in the slide show at the bottom of this page. There are also lots available, for future development. Each home site has been individually surveyed and analyzed to determine specific building areas to highlight the natural elements, view, corridors, elevations, drainage and even the shadow effect from the sun throughout the day. In order to protect the long term value for the residents, comprehensive design guidelines that are both sensitive and sensible are in place and must be complied with.
The Golf Club at Chaparral Pines features an 18-hole golf course, a golf shop, a clubhouse with dining facilities and a community center which features a health and fitness center, swimming, tennis, basketball, sand volleyball, snack bar, picnic areas and an activity field.
There are four membership plans available.
The Trailhead membership includes use of the recreational facilities including the fitness center, swimming, tennis, basketball, volleyball, barbecues, childrens playground and the activities field.
The Pinon membership is limited to 300 memberships and is available only to those residents selecting a Chaparral Pines custom home site. This membership includes the trailhead membership above plus:
a. Use of the Chaparral Pines golf course Monday thru Thursday excluding Holidays.
b. Daily use of the Chaparral Pines practice fields.
c. Eight day advance tee times on the Chaparral Pines Golf Course
d. Priority waiting list status for an upgrade to the Ponderosa membership, per the
membership plan requirements and subject to availability.
e. Play in Chaparral Pines member and member-guest tournaments a space
available basis.
The Ponderosa Membership is a maximum of 400 members and is available only to those residents selecting a custom Chaparral Pines home site. This membership includes the trailhead membership above plus:
a. Full use of the Chaparral Pines golf course
b. 14 day advance tee time priority at the Chaparral pines golf course.
c. Daily use of the Chaparral Pines practice facilities.
d. Priority use of the Chaparral Pines clubhouse golf lockers and bag storage.
e. Play in Chaparral Pines member and member-guest tournaments.
The Ponderosa with Reciprocal Membership includes the Ponderosa membership above and a reciprocal use agreement with The Rim Golf club. This allows for reserving tee times 7 days in advance and allows for dining privileges. The reciprocal use agreement is subject to recall on January 1, 2010.
