Fountain Hills, Arizona

 

Fountain Hills is located between Scottsdale and the Fort McDowell Yavapai Indian Reservation.  The Northern boundary reaches the McDowell Regional Park and the Southern boundary reaches the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.

 

The town has various hills and valleys with the elevation ranging from a low of about 1500 feet to a high of about 3200 feet above sea level.  As a result of this, the homes in the area also vary from a tract home subdivision to Condominiums, hillside homes and luxury properties.  The architectural style ranges from Sante Fe to Mediterranean, Tuscan and Modern.  As to the price of homes in the area; they can vary from the $100,000s to multi-million dollar properties.

Fountain Hills is a very desirable area for working people as well as retirees.  It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get to the 101 loop which will take you to most places in the Metro (Valley) area.

From the Fountain Hills area it is a short hop to Saguaro Lake for boating and fishing activities or about an hours drive to the Rim Country, with it's summer lakes and camping facilities.  Another great way to cool off and relax a summer day away, is to take a float down the Salt River - located below the dam at Saguaro lake - allow three to four hours for this adventure.  There are also off road adventures and horse back riding available in the area.
